By creating an account or installing the AuditBash agent you agree to these terms. If you use AuditBash for a company, you agree on behalf of that company. Questions: support@auditbash.com.
1. What AuditBash is
AuditBash (“we”, “us”) provides a server agent and a web dashboard that install security updates, scan servers for security problems, block attackers according to rules you set, and let you run fixes from the dashboard. Our Cloud Dashboard is hosted by us; Private Dedicated is a copy of the dashboard installed on a server you control.
2. Your account
- You must give a real name and an email address you can receive mail at, and confirm it.
- Keep your password and two-factor codes private. You are responsible for what happens in your workspace, including actions taken by people you invite.
- You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live.
- Tell us straight away at support@auditbash.com if you think your account has been misused.
3. Servers you may use it on
Only install the agent on servers that you own or that you are authorised to administer. The agent runs as root and can install software, change firewall rules, move or delete files and stop processes when you or your rules tell it to. Do not use AuditBash to scan, test or interfere with systems that are not yours.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- break the law, or use AuditBash to attack, scan or harm other people's systems;
- try to get into another customer's workspace or data, or test the security of our service without our written permission;
- copy, resell or share the dashboard, the agent or your access with people outside your organisation, except as your plan allows;
- send us malware on purpose, overload the service, or work around plan limits such as the number of servers.
5. Actions you run
AuditBash suggests fixes, but you decide which ones run, which servers install updates automatically, and which brute-force rules are switched on. Fixes like deleting a file, blocking an IP or port, installing updates or restarting services change your server. Before turning on automatic actions, make sure you have working backups. You are responsible for the changes you choose to make; we build in guard rails but cannot know every server's setup.
6. Free trial
New workspaces may get a free trial. The length, the number of servers it covers and whether a card is needed are shown on the pricing page when you sign up. When a trial without a card ends, your agents pause until you subscribe. When a trial with a card ends, your subscription starts and your card is charged unless you cancelled before the end of the trial.
7. Plans, payment and renewal
- Cloud plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through our payment provider, Stripe, and renew automatically until you cancel. Prices and server limits are shown on the pricing page and your Billing page.
- You can cancel at any time from your Billing page; your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- When you move to a bigger plan, the change applies straight away and Stripe charges the difference for the rest of the period; moving down gives a credit for later invoices.
- Payments are not refundable, except where the law requires a refund.
- If a payment fails, Stripe retries it. If the subscription ends unpaid, your agents pause: no patching, scans, fixes or IP blocking. Your data is kept, and everything resumes once you pay.
- We may change prices for future billing periods. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a change affects you.
- Prices do not include taxes unless stated. Private Dedicated is agreed and invoiced separately.
8. Your data
The information the agent sends about your servers, and everything you put into the dashboard, stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run AuditBash for you, keep it secure and provide support. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we protect it.
9. Our service
- We work to keep AuditBash available and secure, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may carry out maintenance, and we may change or improve features.
- Security tools cannot find every problem or stop every attack. AuditBash reduces risk; it does not guarantee that your servers cannot be breached. Keep your own backups and security measures.
- The agent is provided for use with your AuditBash account. Third-party software it installs (for example security updates from your Linux distribution, ClamAV or fail2ban) comes under its own licences.
10. Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows: AuditBash is provided “as is”; we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or downtime; and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Suspension and closing an account
You can close your account at any time by emailing support@auditbash.com; remove the agent from your servers using the steps in the Docs. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, does not pay, or puts other customers or our service at risk. Where reasonable we will warn you first. After an account closes we delete its data as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is important, we will email the workspace admins at least 30 days before it applies. Continuing to use AuditBash after that means you accept the new terms.
